Charcoal on Paper by Sarah N. Bauer

 One might think that with only jet black charcoal it would not be possible to produce a drawing depicting the soft glow of sunlight.  However, as shown in this work, it is only by means of juxtaposition with the deepest of blacks that we begin to see the sunlight that warms the leaves and petals.
